# Post v1accountshoprecipient

> Normalises a recipient handle and hands it back for confirmation. It changes nothing: the review step exists so the customer sees the exact string the gateway will be given before anybody is charged, and a step that also acted would defeat that. A mistyped username is unrecoverable once a gateway has sent the goods.
